  2. Identification, acquisition, dissemination and actual application of existing agricultural technologies --- align with the thrust of the CAADP pillar on “agricultural research, technology dissemination and adoption pillar”(Pillar IV).
  3. Development, management and utilization of water resources for sustainable agricultural development, safe drinking water and sanitation services; and enhancing soil health, helping to conserve natural resources and/or to revert the degradation of these resources --- are in line with the activities in the CAADP pillar on “extending the area under sustainable land management and reliable water control systems” (Pillar I).

  5. Education and training for rural communities both within countries and within ecological zones across countries --- align with the activities in the CAADP’ s cross-cutting area that is related to “capacity strengthening for agriculture and agribusiness: academia and professional training”.
